About The Position

Valley View is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support and oversee the operations of our Nursing Department. In this leadership role, you will assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing activities while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), preferably in long-term care
  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations and compliance standards
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting
  • Current, active, and good-standing RN license in Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing day-to-day operations of the nursing department
  • Maintain open communication with the DON and other department heads to ensure coordinated care
  • Assist in the development and annual review of nursing policies and procedures
  • Communicate and coordinate resident care across departments
  • Participate in Department of Health surveys or surveys from other regulatory agencies
  • Review and analyze incident reports, help determine root causes, and implement preventative measures
  • Serve as RN Supervisor as needed and temporarily assume DON responsibilities in their absence
  • Actively participate in morning meetings and departmental planning
  • Serve on the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee and other committees as assigned
  • Chair the Infection Control Committee
  • Assist the DON in staffing planning and employee performance evaluation
