About The Position

Supports the Director of Nursing by helping oversee daily nursing operations and ensuring high-quality, compliant care for PACE participants. This role helps supervise and guide nursing staff, coordinates workflows, and supports staffing and performance management. The ADON also works closely with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure nursing care is well integrated into each participant’s individualized care plan. Additionally, the role helps maintain regulatory compliance, supports quality improvement efforts, and assists with clinical policies and administrative responsibilities, all with the goal of helping older adults remain safe, healthy, and independent in their homes.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN may be accepted depending on organization)
  • Several years of clinical nursing experience, typically with older adults or complex medical populations
  • Prior nursing leadership or supervisory experience (such as charge nurse or team lead)
  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations and standards of care
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree
  • Experience in PACE programs, long-term care, home health, hospice, or community-based care
  • Demonstrated management experience, including staff supervision and performance evaluation
  • Experience with quality improvement, compliance, or regulatory readiness activities
  • Leadership or gerontology-related certifications
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary team-based care models
