About The Position

- The Assistant Director of Nursing at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing the nursing department's operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves managing nursing staff, coordinating with other healthcare professionals, and implementing policies and procedures to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data to make informed decisions regarding patient care and departmental operations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in behavioral health nursing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments and challenges.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development in nursing practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
  • Experience in a behavioral health setting is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of managing nursing teams and improving patient care outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure quality care and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing staff to ensure they provide compassionate and effective care to patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and improve treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
  • Monitor patient care delivery and address any issues or concerns promptly to maintain high standards of care.
  • Support the Director of Nursing in budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning for the nursing department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and nursing activities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
  • Stay updated on the latest nursing practices and healthcare regulations to ensure the department remains compliant and innovative.
