Requirements

• Two (2) years previous nursing experience required, preferably with a geriatric long-term care population, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising the assignment and scheduling of nursing staff to meet resident needs.
• Provide nursing care on shift when needed.
• Assist and cooperate with medical staff.
• Help solve nursing service problems.
• Implement company forms/systems and policies and procedures.
• Supervise the maintenance of records of nursing, medical, and related services.
• Validate the accuracy of Care Plans.
• Support facility policies and programs to enhance staff understanding and acceptance.
• Participate in the facility quality improvement program.
• Conduct in-service programs and orientation programs.
• Review physician orders daily and monthly, participating in the triple check process.
• Assist with Director of Nursing responsibilities as requested.
• Supervise and evaluate the implementation of Residents Rights.
• Supervise RNs and LVNs.
• Participate and attend periodic in-services and staff meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
