Requirements

  • Current LVN or RN license in the state of California (required)
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
  • Strong understanding of state and federal regulations
  • Excellent clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Passion for resident-centered care and staff development

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to nursing staff
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies
  • Assist with staffing, training, and performance evaluations
  • Monitor and support quality improvement initiatives
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Step into the role of DON as needed
