Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Piedmont Crossing  Piedmont Crossing is a highly respected senior living community located in the heart of Davidson County, proudly serving the Triad region for more than 35 years. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our Nursing leadership team. The ADON plays a key role in ensuring high‑quality clinical care, regulatory compliance, and a positive, supportive environment for both residents and staff. This position is accountable for clinical management functions and employee performance evaluations to assure delivery of quality health care and services consistent with regulatory compliance and facility policies, procedures, standards and financial objectives.  The Assistant Director of Nursing supervises all nursing personnel on the assigned unit/shift and performs administrative tasks on the assigned unit/shift and serves as a back-up for the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of three (3) years Registered Nurse experience in a skilled nursing facility.
  • One (1) year of satisfactory experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing, Supervisor, or Charge Nurse, preferably in long term care.
  • Current Registered Nurse License
  • CPR certification
  • Strong communication, leadership skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency and provision of expert care to patients with either predictable or unpredictable

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Director of Nursing in daily operations and overall clinical leadership
  • Assisting with staff supervision, scheduling, coaching, and performance development
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, policies, and best practices
  • Overseeing clinical assessments, care planning, and quality assurance initiatives
  • Promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and resident‑centered care
  • Providing direct clinical support as needed, including medication administration, assessments, and monitoring of resident conditions
