Responsibilities
- Supporting the Director of Nursing in providing leadership and direction to nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote patient safety.
- Collaborating with the Director of Nursing in overseeing the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Participating in monitoring patient outcomes and quality indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for enhancing patient care delivery.
- Providing support and guidance to nursing staff to foster professional growth and development.
- Assisting in coordinating interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and optimize health outcomes.
- Assisting in ensuring adequate staffing levels and managing nursing schedules to meet patient care needs effectively.
- Supporting the Director of Nursing in performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and staff training initiatives to maintain a skilled and competent nursing team.
- Serving as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, residents, and families to facilitate communication and address concerns effectively.
