Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of Iowa is preferred but an LPN license is required.
  • 5+ years of nursing experience within a long-term care setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors or better in Nursing.
  • Previous nursing leadership experience in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) for overall nursing leadership within our 54-bed Health Center.
  • Evaluate the quality of resident care, monitor compliance with current laws, process improvements and assist in implementing best practices.
  • Orient, train and supervise team members.
  • Assist in resident evaluations, and serve as a liaison for team member shift transitions.
  • Participate in surveys and inspections by various government agencies.
