Requirements

Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse clinical team.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding resident and employee information.

Responsibilities

Assist the DON in planning, developing, and supervising nursing staff activities while providing overall management and support to the clinical team.
Oversee daily clinical operations, including making rounds and monitoring resident conditions to ensure safety and quality of care.
Collaborate with the DON to recruit, hire, and train nursing staff.
Assist with performance appraisals and resolve personnel issues, including disciplinary actions.
Aid in the development and implementation of nursing objectives, policies, and procedures.
Stay current on regulatory changes to ensure facility compliance.
Act as a liaison between residents, family members, and physicians.
Provide regular reports and recommendations to the DON regarding nursing operations.
Conduct ongoing in-service training for nursing staff to ensure consistent care delivery and the promotion of resident rights.
Serve as back-up for DON, RN, and LVN staff, providing direct resident care as needed to maintain facility standards.
