About The Position
Mother Angeline McCrory Manor is a Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. They have provided spiritually motivated care for the elderly of Columbus for over 65 years. The organization is seeking to hire an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who is a Registered Nurse (RN). The role involves assisting in the development and maintenance of nursing services objectives and standards, providing staff development, and collaborating with the Director of Nursing and other Department Heads to ensure quality care for residents. The position also includes participation in meetings, planning and documenting quality assurance, and serving as an On-Call nurse as necessary. Requirements
- Current OH RN - Registered Nurse License
- 2 years of Long-Term Care experience as ADON, DON or Unit Manager required
- BLS certification required
- Strong clinical skills
- Experience in promoting and facilitating teamwork
Nice To Haves
- BSN degree preferred
- Infection Preventionist Certificate or experience preferred
- PCC experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of nursing services objectives and standards
- Provide staff development in multiple disciplines including risk management and quality assurance
- Assist in governance of day-to-day functions of the nursing department
- Collaborate with Director of Nursing and other Department Heads to ensure quality care for residents
- Participates in meetings and communicates appropriate information
- Plan, develop, coordinate and document quality assurance and performance improvement
- Serve as On-Call nurse as necessary
- Work rounding with the cart as necessary
