Medical Hill Healthcare Center is seeking a dynamic Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our management team. In this critical role, you will work side-by-side with the Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical staff and ensure our residents receive the highest standard of 24/7 care. The Opportunity Position: Full-Time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Location: Medical Hill Healthcare Center – Oakland, CA Rate: $50.00+ per hour (Commensurate with experience) Benefits: Comprehensive package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and Paid Time Off (PTO) Your Leadership Impact As the ADON, you are a pillar of the nursing department, providing the stability and clinical oversight necessary for a thriving facility. Strategic Partnership: Assist the DON in planning, developing, and supervising all nursing activities and department objectives. Team Development: Play a lead role in recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring both licensed and non-licensed personnel. Clinical Oversight: Oversee daily clinical operations, conduct rounds, and monitor resident conditions to ensure safety and superior care delivery. Staff Management: Lead employee appraisals, problem-solving, and professional development to maintain a high-performing team. Resident Advocacy: Serve as a vital liaison between residents, families, and physicians, ensuring all parties are informed and treated with the utmost respect. Regulatory Compliance: Stay ahead of regulatory changes, assist in developing policies, and conduct ongoing in-services for the nursing team. Operational Support: Act as the primary backup for the DON to ensure seamless facility operations at all times.

Requirements

  • Current, valid California LVN License (RNs are also encouraged to apply).
  • 3 years of nursing management experience, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment.
  • Proven ability to supervise, manage, and inspire a diverse clinical staff.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • A deep-seated commitment to resident rights and high-quality outcomes.
