About our property: Skamania Lodge is a Pacific Northwest resort set on 175 acres, featuring treehouses, glamping, golf, ziplining, a spa, and multiple restaurants. With over 22,000 sq. ft. of event space, it’s a premier destination for retreats, conferences, and celebrations. #PGH-SKL What you will have an opportunity to do: Ensures that the rooms and public space areas are spotless and continually restocked and straightened. Develops and implements processes, procedures, and standards for assigned departments which support achievement of service and financial goals. Monitor’s achievement of budget and takes corrective steps as appropriate. Inspect rooms, public space and back-of-house areas continually. Assist department in cleaning rooms, hallways, public areas, and laundry. Determines appropriate staffing levels for forecasted business and schedules employees accordingly. Assists in cost control and payroll (daily use of Fast/Clean and Hotel effectiveness). Develop and implement processes for providing employees with customer service, technical and safety training on an ongoing basis. Oversees inventory, purchasing, disbursement and cost control for all linens, cleaning supplies, customer room and restroom supplies, laundry supplies, etc. Manages laundry operations. Monitors assigned departments with compliance with safety standards. Coordinates room availability with the Front Office Manager. Coordinates room maintenance with Maintenance Manager Develop and implement strategies and practices which support employee engagement. Screens, interviews, and selecting qualified candidates. Provides employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities. Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback. Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and their fullest potential. Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver excellent service and teamwork. Communicates and reinforces the vision for excellent service to employees. Ensures that employees provide genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis. Uses teamwork to support guests and employees. Seeking opportunities to improve customer experience by seeking customer feedback, reviewing management reports, and developing strategies to improve department and hotel services. Provides employees with the tools, training, and environment they need to deliver excellent service and teamwork.
