About The Position

Oversees daily operations, manages the Housekeeping and Laundry teams, and ensures completion of daily objectives while maintaining brand standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Available to work a varying schedule to reflect the needs of the business, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English language with guests and staff required, bilingual language ability (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory and/or management experience in Hotel industry is required.
  • Strong computer skills strongly preferred.
  • Physical requirements: ability to lift 25 pounds, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push and pull (with or without accommodations.)

Responsibilities

  • Distribute/delegate room and cleaning assignments to the housekeeping and laundry associates.
  • Interview, select, and train housekeeping and laundry associates in proper work procedures and techniques.
  • Conduct daily inspections of rooms and monitor work performance of associates by public areas and heart of house areas.
  • Provide coaching and counseling of associates and conduct performance reviews in tandem with the Director of Housekeeping.
  • Plan and conduct staff meetings to ensure open communication amongst associates.
  • Attend operational related metings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information.
  • Assist the Director of Housekeeping with administrative duties such as scheduling, ordering and inventory management, lost and found management, and maintaining accurate associate timekeeping records.
  • Assist the Director of Housekeeping with proactively maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to OSHA standards including proper lifting, compliance with the Hazcom program, and handling of biohazard materials/bloodborne pathogens.
  • Address guest inquires and concerns regarding housekeeping services with a prompt and professional response to ensure guest satisfaction.
