About The Position

The Assistant Director of Graphic Design will assist with the conceptualization, development and implementation of the Department’s graphic solutions and standards for various marketing materials and collateral for all intercollegiate sports. Individual must be able to prioritize and coordinate concepts for all sports and ensure brand consistency and uniformity in regard to logo and color usage for all programs. The Colorado State University Department of Athletics sponsors 16 men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports and competes as a member of NCAA Division I (FBS). The University is a current member of the Mountain West Conference and future member of the Pac-12 Conference. The University is located in Fort Collins, Colorado, 65 miles north of Denver. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of one year of professional or internship experience in graphic design or related field required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Adobe CC graphic design software, including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Demonstrated experience with print design and layout for sales and marketing collateral, flyers, posters, trade-show materials, multipage brochures and catalogs
  • Experience in additional Creative Suite platforms including Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in NCAA Division I athletics
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Graphic Design to help develop and execute the season long visual identity, creative systems, and campaign look across all Athletics programs.
  • Assist with graphic design production for assigned sports programs, either by directly creating assets or by assigning, managing, and guiding interns through those projects, ensuring consistent, high quality content delivery that supports each program’s needs and maintains brand standards.
  • Support the creative production of all ticketed sports by assisting with campaign development, game day graphics, recruiting materials, and major department wide initiatives.
  • Produce high quality graphic assets across digital, social, print, and in venue platforms, contributing hands on creative work while maintaining deadlines, consistency, and institutional brand standards.
  • Assist with the supervision of interns, providing daily guidance, feedback, and training while ensuring workflow efficiency and professional development.
