About The Position

The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage ensures each outlet performs at the highest level while enhancing the overall guest experience. This role requires the ability to thrive under pressure while motivating the team to do the same. The Assistant Director actively engages with guests to elevate service, collaborates with team members to drive strong performance to ensure departmental needs, cash accountability, POS operations, safe work practices, and cost controls are consistently upheld—often managing these priorities simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Food & Beverage or related field, in a luxury setting preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively, diplomatically, and professionally with other departments, guests, and vendors in English.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, train and counsel employees of all ages and cultures is required.
  • The duties of this job regularly require the employee to bend, push, pull, stand, walk, and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexible scheduling availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills are required.
  • Must have a valid TIPS certification and must have CA Food handling certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations across all Food & Beverage outlets to ensure seamless service.
  • Greet and engage guests warmly, offering assistance and information as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with F&B team members and other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Motivate and support team members to perform at their best while fostering a positive team environment.
  • Maintain service standards and assist in any F&B role as business needs require.
  • Ensure product quality in partnership with kitchen and bar teams.
  • Uphold all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Safeguard cash and inventory in accordance with company procedures.
  • Reinforce company policies through coaching and progressive discipline when necessary.
  • Support event operations and communicate proactively with leadership.
  • Prepare and manage team schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels based on business needs.
  • Review and process payroll, including auditing time records and completing necessary corrections as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support F&B operations.
