This position is responsible for assisting the Director in the overall fund and administrative management, processing of files, helping maintain and monitor the university's financial aid compliance, and the evaluation of data in the Financial Aid Office. The essential job functions include performing monthly reconciliation of Pell funds, providing financial aid counseling to students, parents, and other stakeholders, and reviewing student financial aid files in accordance with federal and state regulations. The role also involves serving as backup to the Director for Dependency Overrides, Homeless Youth determination, and Return to Title IV processing, as well as being a member of the SAP and IRP committees. Additionally, the position identifies and recommends process improvements within the financial aid office to increase student success, improve department efficiencies, reduce costs, and streamline financial aid processes for students. The individual will serve as acting director in the absence of the Director of Financial Aid and will perform related duties as assigned.
