About the position

The Assistant Director of EVS is responsible for managing, directing, and administering the operations of the department. This role involves providing leadership, direction, counseling, motivation, discipline, hiring, budgeting, payroll control, training, forecasting, evaluations, records, report creation and generation, and performing inspections to ensure the department operates efficiently and meets its goals, objectives, and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the hiring, training, evaluation, development, and disciplining of departmental employees.
  • Act as a liaison between line staff and departmental leadership to ensure awareness of challenges with job performance, staffing levels, and job tasks.
  • Address guest concerns by providing guest service recovery.
  • Oversee the execution of the division's operational plans in assigned areas.
  • Monitor and control labor costs by ensuring adequate coverage based on business demands.
  • Ensure work performance standards and employee development programs maximize individual growth and development of staff.
  • Ensure upkeep and training on all equipment.
  • Coordinate with other departments to manage business levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations.
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3 years' experience in a role with similar responsibilities or with relevant transferrable skills in a similar environment is preferred.
  • Detailed record keeping in English is required.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisor capacity is required.
  • Prior experience with cleaning equipment and OSHA regulations.
  • Proven experience providing a high level of guest service.
  • Must have computer knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
  • Verify right to work in the United States.
  • Work Cards.
  • Driver License.
  • 3 year DMV History Report.
