POSITION PURPOSE: This challenging position has overall responsibility for performing maintenance and repairs, and preventative maintenance, to all areas of the hotel. You will perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of buildings, guestrooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating/air conditioning, ventilation, and water treatment systems, and swimming pool and ensure that equipment is prepared and operational for the following day's work. The Assistant Director of Maintenance manages the preventative maintenance program while monitoring and securing inventory and following established ordering procedures to replenish supplies and inventory and minimize waste. Responsibilities include but not limited to: This role is responsible to inform management of hazardous situations, emergencies or threats to the security of guests, employees or resort assets and provide input on the annual departmental operating budget. You will promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. You may assist with other duties as assigned. Skills, Abilities and Experience needed to be successful Education High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree or related technical school degree preferred.
