The School of Nursing seeks an assistant director for our simulation and lab skills acquisition environment. EISLE (Education Innovation Simulation Learning Environment), the School's skill acquisition and simulation lab, allows students to translate theoretical knowledge into safe clinical experiences using realistic patient scenarios. EISLE supports undergraduate and graduate nursing students with hands-on skills training and simulated clinical experiences. It enhances their confidence and provides real-time human and technological feedback about developing their psychomotor, assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and diagnostic skills. Reporting to the current Director of EISLE (future Assistant Dean for Simulation and Experiential Learning), the Assistant Director is responsible for providing operational oversight for the skills lab at EISLE on a day-to-day basis. The Assistant Director ensures all lab activities for training, assessment, and change management purposes align with the School's strategic goals and provides an optimal experience for internal and external clients. This role ensures that the necessary operational resources, such as space, equipment, and simulators, are in place to provide an optimal simulated educational experience for learners and faculty. The Assistant Director may supervise up to 8 lab staff, plus work-study students.
