About The Position

The Assistant Director of Dining Services at Anderson University is responsible for overseeing the daily food service operations within a full-service university dining program. This role involves managing a team, ensuring high-quality food service, and maintaining client relationships while focusing on catering and retail operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of catering & event management experience.
• Experience in fast food management.
• 1 to 3 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen skills.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
• Associate's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day food service operations of a medium to large volume location.
• Manage and lead a team of associates.
• Develop talent and manage client relationships.
• Support financial goals in the assigned area.
• Work with the Chef and management team to create nutritious and top-quality food.
• Implement new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary teams.
• Maintain excellent relationships with the client.
• Train and develop associates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
