About The Position

Assists in overseeing the management of all Community Services’ programs including regulatory compliance, adherence to standards, best practices, organizational policy, and effective service delivery. Provides direction, training, access, and support to the supervisory and service delivery staff. Collaborates with all program staff, supervisors, and Leadership Team to provide appropriate services that produce measurable treatment outcomes. Supports the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) in general operations as necessary. Must be able to work flexible hours including rotating on-call coverage. Will act as MST Clinical Director. This position is predominately a remote position but will be expected to be in office for in-person meetings or events. Some travel will be expected.

Requirements

  • Licensure with Master’s degree in a related field of study required.
  • Demonstrated management experience, including a minimum of 5 years prior experience in children and family services strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated hands-on supervisory skills required.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and be able to work independently and in conjunction with diverse teams.
  • Must possess an ability to develop and guide others in outcomes- program design and supervision, with demonstrated knowledge of regulations and best practices.
  • Must possess demonstrated PC skills including common MS Office applications; possess a valid PA driver’s license, with an insurable driving record; and current Act 33, 34 and FBI Clearances.
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Additional training or licensing as required by regulations, or as deemed necessary by the Executive Director.
  • Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts of common business math principles in the management and reconciliation of operating budgets and related expenses. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentage and ratios.
  • Communication Skills Ability to analyze and interpret common industry and/or management journals, financial reports, and business documents, and convert new information to enhance programming as necessary. Delegates with clarity according to individual skills, knowledge, abilities, and attitude. Actively listens to the content and processes of communication so that individual and team collaboration can occur. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from members of the business community, other managers and staff. Welcomes input regarding work-related activities. Ability to effectively present information to the business community, management and staff and adjust presentation of information to diverse audiences. Recognizes appropriate parameters of confidential information.

Capable of developing, organizing and implementing optimal courses of action when encountering both intangible and concrete variables. Responsibilities

  • Assists the CCO in ensuring that the rights, dignity, and confidentiality of all Community Services’ clients are maintained, and ensures that each client and his/her parent(s) or guardian(s) are involved in decision-making to the best of their abilities.
  • Assists the CCO in ensuring that the health and safety of clients and employees are maintained in alignment with service principles, policies and practices.
  • Assists the CCO in ensuring that organizational and operational policies and procedures are communicated, understood, and followed by Department Supervisors and staff, and supports their ongoing design and evaluation.
  • Assists the CCO in ensuring that all programming and operations are in compliance with quality initiatives, professional, regulatory and legal practices, and that supervisors maintain accountability in these compliance areas.
  • Represents MHY and actively promotes its mission, strategic plans, goals and objectives, and assists the CCO with proposals and contracts that support all department programming and funding.
  • Assists the CCO in ongoing business development and stakeholder relationship development and maintenance to ensure sufficient referrals and identify new opportunities.
  • Participates in quality improvement and evaluation processes as set forth by the CEO maintaining the role of Compliance Officer at MHY.
  • Actively assists the CCO in ensuring that organizational and operational policies and procedures are communicated, understood, and followed by department employees.
  • Assists the CCO in the monitoring Department budget performance regularly, and assists in revision(s) in programming as necessary to adapt to budgetary constraints.
  • Supports MST Program Managers, Supervisors with Therapists as MST Clinical Director with performance objectives, including assistance with performance issues and related goals and timelines within performance plans to support outcomes.
  • Supports All MST Teams in coordinating services within the agency and with other community providers and promptly addresses obstacles individually or with MST Leadership or CCO as needed.
  • Conducts supervision with MST Program Managers and as needed with MST Supervisors on a weekly basis and affords individual supervision or further performance measures as necessary and in compliance with MHY policy, and MST standards.
  • Ensures timely and accurate documentation occurs related to all MST operations and service delivery, and in compliance with MHY, MST, state, county, MCO and other referral requirements.
  • Provides organizational and MST training on both a group and individual basis as required and necessary.
  • Completes all documentation in an accurate and timely manner in support of organizational and treatment objectives, including that which is necessary for State, County or managed care audits.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention efforts for Department management and staff as required.
  • Supports Programs and HR with the management, mentoring, assessment and, if necessary, discipline of staff and, effectively participates in employee performance evaluations, supervisions, mediations or similar activities as required.
  • Regularly attends employee and management meetings, participates in interdisciplinary meetings as well as other meetings as required.
  • Assists in identifying training opportunities for Department employees on employee performance, needs assessments, industry trends, and current research outcomes.
  • Assists in advocacy efforts on behalf of individual clients, their families, and the community in the provision of children and family services with respective funding bodies, organizations, foundations, local businesses and governments.
  • Remains current on developments and trends in the child and family services sector, in addition to human service needs in local counties.
  • Assists in the management and oversight of all Department offices’ operations, including regular site visits and other visits as necessary to support and ensure service delivery.
  • Require regular local and regional travel, and possible overnight travel is required.
