About The Position

The Assistant Director is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the quality of Clinical Services to meet the goals of Hickory Trail Hospital. In addition, provides direct care to psychiatric, competency restoration, and substance abuse conditions. Responsible for collaborating with the patient's family, multidisciplinary team, and community agencies to support and coordinate treatment and discharge planning. Oversees the social work and counselor student experience. Leads the clinical services and staff in the inpatient program.

Requirements

• Master's Degree specializing in Counseling, Social work, or a clinical related mental health area.
• Current LPC, LMSW, LMFT license issued by the State of Texas.
• Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
• Three years of clinical experience as a licensed professional in an inpatient psychiatric social service setting, including one year of supervisory experience.
• CPR certification and Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of employment.
• Thorough knowledge of JCAHO/HCFA, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Current license as an LPC or LCSW by the State of Texas.
