About The Position

Clarke University, located in scenic Dubuque, IA, invites applicants for a full-time faculty position as the Assistant Director of Clinical Education. This is a 12 month, tenure track appointment. The faculty member will assist the Director of Clinical Education in coordinating and evaluating the clinical education component of the curriculum and teach assigned courses. Courses will be determined based on departmental need and candidate expertise. The faculty member will be responsible for student advising, service on University committees as appropriate and scholarly production in alignment with standards outlined by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

Requirements

• Earned terminal academic doctorate (Ph.D., EdD., DSc, or equivalent) or actively enrolled in a doctoral program of study in physical therapy or a related field.
• Eligibility for PT licensure in Iowa.
• At least 3 years of clinical physical therapy practice.
• Preferred experience as a Site Coordinator for Clinical Education (SCCE) or at minimum as a Clinical Instructor (CI).

Nice To Haves

• Clinical doctorate (DPT) with a desire to pursue a terminal academic doctoral program.
