The Assistant Director of Career Development – STEM Lead assists the Dean of Career and Professional Development in executing the Office’s strategic plan through advising students and alumni, facilitating recruitment opportunities, developing content for and facilitating events, programs and career trips, and other projects and initiatives as assigned. Other projects may include, but are not limited to, CPD data collection, analysis and reporting, support in maintaining CPD career resources and website, and alumni volunteer engagement and management. They will advise students and alumni in the areas of professional development, help develop and execute career-related programs designed to enhance their knowledge of career fields, and establish links between students, employers, alumni and professionals. W&L’s CPD Office allows alumni to explore the career resources available through the university’s expansive network, including job listings maintained by and, in some cases, exclusively for W&L students and alumni. The Assistant Director advises students and alumni in the areas of professional development, helps develop and execute career-related programs designed to enhance students’ knowledge of career fields, and establish links between students and employers, alumni, and professionals.
