About The Position

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • Moderate experience working in athletics or related fields.
  • Experience with student-athlete programming.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • First Aid, CPR, AED certification, or willingness to attain such certification(s) upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and contributes to the implementation of strategic initiatives within the department, including proposing, implementing, and assessing short and long-term department goals.
  • Assists in the daily administration of the athletics department operations, including fundraising activities, admissions, and student-athlete academic success.
  • Maintains compliance with university policies and procedures, as well as national association and conference rules and regulations.
  • Serves as the primary liaison for athletics regarding gender equity, diversity, inclusion, student-athlete well-being, and student leadership.
  • Collaborates with other university departments to enhance the student-athlete experience and promote wellness.
  • Administers student-athlete coach evaluations and coordinates staff training, onboarding, and development programs.
  • Encourages student-athlete involvement in community service and initiatives that support departmental and university goals.
  • Serves on the President's Athletic Advisory Board to assist in implementing athletic and academic integration programs.
  • Researches best practices in the industry and recommends new athletic programs and operational goals.
  • Assists with data submissions and reports, including Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) reporting and NCAA Financial and Graduation Rates.
  • Represents the university at conference and NCAA events.
  • Assists with game management and travel to postseason contests as necessary.
  • Assists with departmental budget management.
  • Supervises and develops department staff, facilitating professional opportunities and managing performance.
