The position is responsible for managing all data requests submitted by annual giving, which includes mail and email solicitations, stewardship, and informational appeals. The individual will oversee the university's online giving platform, which involves designing, building, and maintaining various pages for philanthropic giving and event registration. Additionally, the role serves as the primary troubleshooter and relationship manager with third-party site vendors. The individual will also manage the faculty and staff giving campaign, which includes direct mail and email solicitations, stewardship, and collaboration with University Advancement and university leadership on donor information. Furthermore, the position entails managing all aspects of the Maryland Charity Campaign, which involves working with the Secretary of State's office on training, communications, and current employee data, as well as collaborating with third-party campaign administrators on data, donation information, and donor troubleshooting. The role requires collaboration with gift officers on annual giving aspects, including college-based communications and event registration. The individual will also build and maintain an annual giving communications calendar, tracking the number of individuals receiving communications and monitoring open rates and activity. Other duties and special projects may be assigned as directed.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned or directed.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional customer relationship experience, including sales and new business acquisition skills.
  • Well organized, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate initiative.
  • Experience with donor database software.
  • Confidence in building relationships through electronic communication and engagement techniques.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends throughout the year.
  • Must be team-oriented, creative, and able to exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to build client trust via in person, telephone, and electronic communications.
