Ensure and safeguard consumers' human dignity, rights, and liberties: Demonstrate a high regard for each person and sensitivity for cultural values, expectations, and goals of individuals, families, and others. In cooperation with the Director of Residential Services, provides ongoing development, review and monitoring of the practices and procedures utilized in the delivery of residential services. Provides clinical, fiscal, and administrative oversight of all assigned residential programs and of all residential programs in the absence of the Director of Residential Services. Overseeing the process of establishing governmental subsidies (such as Social Security Disability; MassHealth Supports) and ensuring that such subsidies are renewed, as needed. Ensure that all necessary paperwork is prepared and submitted in a timely manner (such as fiscal requisitions, status reports, financial reviews, and progress notes). Implements any changes in policy or procedures. Ensures Residential Manager has created and maintained a fiscally sound staffing schedule that meets the needs of each client and each program. Contributes to the coordination and planning of all staff development initiatives and training activities for staff in residential programs. Manages the establishment of new residential sites as directed and needed. In conjunction with the Director of Residential Services, assists in coordinating activities with the Director of Operations pertaining to oversight and maintenance of agency properties including, but not limited to: Maintenance of buildings and related facility's budgets. Purchasing and cost containment practices. Provides on-call coverage as assigned. Communicates with each resident's family/guardians on a regular basis. Attends ISP meetings. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Responsible for the supervision of Residential Managers in the assigned residences. In the absence of any Residential Manager, responsible for the supervisor of direct care staff in the assigned residences. Responsible for supervision of all residential staff in the absence of the Director of Residential Services.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of management practices including state and federal regulatory regulations.
  • Valid drivers' license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Obtain, and maintain, certification in First Aid, CPR, Drivers' Safety, and Human Rights.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with a wide variety of individuals including staff, managers, individuals with disabilities, and their families.
  • Must be able to work independently while demonstrating excellent judgment, effective time management, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Basic math skills - adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplying.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks is essential.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Five years' experience in a supervisory role preferably in Residential Services with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Clinical experience in providing care and services to adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Bachelors' Degree in relevant field or appropriate level of experience in lieu of such a degree.
