About The Position

The Assistant Director of Admissions at Claremont Graduate University (CGU) plays a pivotal role in the recruitment and admissions process for the School of Educational Studies, particularly focusing on the Teacher Education program. This position is designed for a highly professional and experienced individual who will act as a graduate recruiter, responsible for generating significant interest among prospective students through effective recruitment strategies and best practices. The Assistant Director will ensure the highest level of customer service to attract potential students to the university's diverse programs and offerings. In addition to core recruitment responsibilities, the Assistant Director will manage application files throughout the review process, ensuring a smooth transition from application to enrollment. This role requires collaboration with various departments across the campus to support recruitment and enrollment initiatives, including assisting with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) communication plan and serving as a liaison to the offices of financial aid and admissions. The Assistant Director will also be tasked with developing and implementing annual recruitment plans, tracking recruitment activities, and analyzing data to enhance the admissions funnel. The position demands a proactive approach to communication with prospective students, utilizing various channels such as phone, email, and in-person meetings. The Assistant Director will spend approximately 75% of their time on outreach and recruitment activities, while the remaining 25% will focus on strategic planning and execution to increase enrollment conversions. This role is essential in promoting CGU's brand and reputation, particularly in enhancing diversity recruiting efforts and establishing relationships with student organizations and campus offices.
