About The Position

The Division of Enrollment Management is looking for an Assistant Director of Admissions Recruitment to lead and manage regional recruitment efforts within the Office of Admissions. In this role, you will supervise a team of Regional Admissions Officers, coordinate recruitment strategies, and engage with prospective students and school personnel to support UF’s enrollment goals. Key responsibilities include: Recruitment Strategy & Outreach Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment plans to attract a highly talented freshman class. Build and maintain relationships with school counselors, community-based organizations, and alumni groups. Organize counselor events to showcase UF’s academic strengths and student opportunities. Manage an assigned recruitment territory, including high school visits and college fairs. Serve as the supervisor for Gator 360 case management to ensure efficient handling of freshman admissions cases. Team Leadership & Supervision Provide leadership and guidance to Regional Admissions Officers through onboarding, performance management, and ongoing coaching to foster growth and strengthen team effectiveness. Guide team efforts to identify key markets and activities using historical and national data. Coordinate initiatives that support recruitment and yield efforts in targeted territories. Marketing & Communications Develop targeted recruitment materials and communications via Slate CRM. Collaborate with Enrollment Marketing and Communications to update brochures, website, and social media. Partner with Student Financial Aid to align messaging with UF’s financial aid priorities. Strategic Planning & Special Projects Participate in office-wide planning, resource allocation, and strategic goal setting. Assist with special projects and reports as requested by the Associate Director. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.
  • This position requires the successful candidate to reside and work from a home office in one of UF’s primary recruitment territories, which includes the greater areas of: Pittsburgh, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Newark, NJ; the DMV region; Atlanta, GA; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Southern California; South Florida; or within one of the boroughs of NYC.
  • Ability to maintain a virtual presence and actively participate in meetings during UF main campus standard office hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday - Friday).
