Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required — your academic foundation helps you guide candidates through their own educational path.
  • Experience in admissions, recruiting, advising, or counseling, demonstrating your ability to assess talent and build trust.
  • Confidence using technology, CRM systems, and virtual engagement tools to enhance the applicant journey.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills that help prospective students feel informed, supported, and excited about Duke.
  • A structured, detail‑oriented, self‑directed working style that thrives in fast‑paced admissions cycles.
  • A collaborative mindset aligned with the spirit of Team Fuqua, working seamlessly across teams and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead MQM application review efforts and facilitate admissions committee processes.
  • Evaluate, present, and recommend applicants during committee discussions.
  • Track and analyze class profile metrics, scholarships, and yield to support enrollment goals.
  • Engage prospective applicants through email, phone, virtual meetings, and in-person counseling.
  • Conduct admissions interviews for MQM and MMS candidates.
  • Lead virtual information sessions and online recruitment events.
  • Collaborate with current students and alumni to enhance applicant and admit engagement.
  • Partner with events teams to execute visit days, interviews, and yield activities.
  • Support domestic and international recruitment travel, social media monitoring, and outreach innovation.
  • Provide operational and administrative support across the broader Admissions team.
