Requirements
- Applicants should have a current RN license in the state of Massachusetts and graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Associate’s degree in nursing required; BSN preferred
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required within 30 days of hire
- De-escalation certification required within 30 days of hire
- Strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
- Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care
Nice To Haves
- Behavioral Health, Psychiatric, or Chemical Dependency experience preferred
- Experience with patient assessments, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and plan care within established timeframes while documenting findings according to policy
- Oversee and supervise the assigned shift, ensuring smooth clinical operations
- Provide leadership through delegation of tasks such as group facilitation, close observation, and patient supervision
- Ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and high-quality patient care is consistently delivered
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately, including physician notification
- Administer medications in accordance with hospital policy
- Deliver compassionate care using empathy, dignity, and respect in all patient interactions
- Support and execute individualized treatment plans to achieve patient goals
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients
