About The Position

Hudson County Community College is seeking an Assistant Director for the Nursing Program. This is an exempt position that reports to the Director of the Nursing Program. The role is designed for a full-time, twelve-month commitment, requiring the successful candidate to work a five-day work week, seven hours per day. Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, preferably at the community college level.
• Experience in curriculum/course development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of modern pedagogical technology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective organization and prioritization skills.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience in distance education course delivery.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate sensitivity to issues of diversity and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
• Advocate for access to higher education, particularly for first-generation and immigrant students.
• Engage in curriculum/course development, review, and implementation.
• Utilize modern pedagogical technology in teaching.
• Provide diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Interact effectively with students and faculty from various academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
