About The Position
The Assistant Director, MSMFT Career Coach plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive career development services to students enrolled in the Master of Science in Mathematical Finance & Financial Technology (MSMFT) program at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. This position is designed to enhance the career readiness of students through personalized career coaching sessions and engaging career development workshops. The Assistant Director will work closely with students to identify their career goals, develop actionable plans, and provide guidance on various career-related topics, including resume writing, interview preparation, and networking strategies. In addition to direct coaching, the Assistant Director will collaborate with faculty and staff to plan, develop, and implement innovative strategies that promote the career development services offered by the school. This includes coordinating with other career-related programming and initiatives within the school to ensure a cohesive approach to student support. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for tracking and communicating important information regarding student interactions and outcomes, ensuring that all details of appointments and employment results are meticulously documented. The role requires a proactive approach to student engagement, with a focus on optimizing the overall student experience. The Assistant Director will be expected to stay informed about industry trends and job market developments to provide relevant and timely advice to students. This position is essential in fostering a supportive environment that encourages students to explore and pursue their career aspirations in the finance and technology sectors.
