Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Service or related field required
  • LISW, LPCC, or LIMFT with supervisor designation is required
  • Experience in the not-for-profit, medical, mental health or social work fields with diverse staff.
  • 3+ years’ experience in managing direct reports with strong ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working with youth and families in behavioral health or crisis settings.
  • Mission driven; strong desire to make an impact
  • Effective interpersonal skills; able to speak effectively with individuals and/or groups of people
  • Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment
  • Knowledgeable of Ohio licensing and related laws, grant writing and healthcare and in-home therapy
  • Positive reputation and strong sense of personal accountability with the ability to delegate where needed
  • Knowledge of OHMAS, ODH standards and other external organizations, regulations and criteria related to Case Management
  • Flexible; able to workdays, evenings, and/or weekends, as desired to meet the needs of clients
  • Strong organizational skills: able to handle multiple priorities with strict attention to detail and perform work independently
  • Ability to maintain relevant, timely documentation as required
  • Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records, etc.
  • Must be able to access work locations, offices, and homes as necessary, which may include ascending/descending stairs

  • Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.
  • Manage and coordinate MRSS program operations, including staff training, scheduling, service coverage, and compliance with organizational and state standards.
  • Oversee fiscal management of MRSS programs, including budget development, monitoring, documentation, billing compliance, and responsible allocation of resources.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate response to behavioral health crises in a culturally responsive manner that acknowledges clients’ unique and intersecting identities.
  • Support staff in crisis intervention, de-escalation, behavioral health assessments, and decision-making regarding appropriate levels of care.
  • Develop and implement program plans, goals, and outcome measures aligned with MRSS guidelines, agency strategy, and community needs.
  • Ensure all MRSS services meet internal, contractual, regulatory, and accreditation standards; monitor and adapt services as requirements evolve.
  • Oversee compliance with MRSS workflows, documentation standards, and data collection/reporting requirements.
  • Interpret and support agency policies, implement industry best practices, and ensure quality outcomes across MRSS services.
  • Provide direction for program expansion, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation across assigned regions or service areas.
  • Serve as a resource for clinical consultation and crisis management when needed.
  • Support promotional efforts to increase awareness of programs and services.
  • Maintain a small caseload of direct service (individual, group, or family support) as needed.
  • Advocate strongly for clients, ensuring access to services and supports during and after program involvement as needed.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor assigned direct reports, as well as oversee and uphold performance standards and the level of accountability within the department
  • Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging.
  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
  • Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.
