About The Position

The Assistant Director of the Honors Program is responsible for managing various administrative and programmatic operations of the Honors Program in accordance with the program's mission to provide an immersive, enriched, and personalized academic experience for undergraduates across the university. These activities include advising Honors students and collaborating on advising Honors students; coordinating course scheduling; managing program recruiting; supervising student workers; planning and participating in Honors Program events; assisting in planning the Honors Program's curricular and co-curricular initiatives; alumni outreach; managing public-facing communication, including social media; and representing the Honors Program with campus partners. The Assistant Director interacts regularly with students, faculty, staff, and other constituencies to represent the Honors Program and promote its initiatives. The Assistant Director serves in the Director's place in the Director's absence.

Requirements

  • Experience in academic advising or related field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
