Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, the Assistant Director of Financial Aid is responsible for implementing activities in the overall operation of student financial aid programs offered through the Office of Financial Aid and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office. The Assistant Director possesses functional knowledge of student financial aid processes, technical expertise and problem-solving abilities. The Assistant Director works with office and Institutional Technology personnel to develop and expand electronic processes; receives, returns and reconciles financial aid monies; serves as liaison with internal and external constituencies; counseling and advising students applying for financial aid, such as loans, grants-in-aid, or scholarships to determine eligibility for assistance. Assists with awarding, tracking and reporting of institutional and outside scholarships.
