About The Position

The Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations at Notre Dame Athletics is responsible for overseeing the operations of select sports facilities, including scheduling, budgeting, maintenance, and event coordination. This role supports the Director of Operations and the Associate Director of Olympic Sports Facilities by monitoring activities within assigned facilities and ensuring they meet the needs of coaches, students, and other users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Sports Management.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in athletics setting within facilities operations or maintenance.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation of select sports facilities including scheduling, budgeting, and maintenance.
  • Respond to maintenance issues and manage facility schedules and requests from users.
  • Manage access to stadium lighting systems and assist with preventative maintenance planning.
  • Work with Landscape Services to maintain artificial turf and natural grass surfaces.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including entering electronic work orders and coordinating game day activities.
  • Serve as a space steward in EMS for university events in selected sports facilities.
  • Conduct bi-weekly visual and safety inspections of assigned sports facilities and document results.
  • Respond to Risk Management and Safety requests and maintenance items as they arise.
  • Oversee the North tunnel area for home football games, ensuring safety and security during events.
  • Assist with minor projects and renewals as assigned.
  • Assist in developing the annual budget for assigned sports facilities.
  • Coordinate Shamrock Series games and perform other duties as assigned.
