About The Position

The Assistant Director of Engineering at Great Wolf Lodge is responsible for supervising maintenance operations and ensuring the physical condition of the facility meets high standards of guest satisfaction while adhering to budget constraints. This role involves evaluating facility systems, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and leading a team of skilled technicians to maintain operational excellence.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on equipment maintenance experience, including solving electronics failures.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience for a team of technically skilled individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Plumbing License
• Certified Pool & Spa (CPO) License
• Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) Certification
• Previous leadership experience in a resort or waterpark setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance operations to meet operational standards and guest satisfaction.
• Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment by collaborating with operating departments.
• Implements a preventive maintenance program to maintain system reliability and functionality.
• Implements changes and improvements based on performance results of facility systems.
• Performs supervisory responsibilities including selecting, training, and coaching team members.
• Evaluates team performance and recommends compensation actions.
• Ensures a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and legal regulations.
• Participates in educational opportunities to stay updated with industry standards.
