About The Position

The Assistant Director, Corporate Compliance at Signature Healthcare plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Compliance Officer in the planning and execution of the institutional compliance program. This position leverages prior hospital operations experience to enhance compliance efforts, conduct audits and investigations, and serve as a resource for compliance-related issues within the organization. The role emphasizes collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and ethical business practices.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree is required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of compliance/internal audit and privacy experience in healthcare.
  • Healthcare compliance/ethics program experience required.
  • Prefer certification as CPA, RN, CHC, or RHIA.
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Wolters Kluwer or Symplr Compliance platform.

  • Conducts and coordinates compliance investigations and audits related to healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Collaborates with legal staff to address legal requirements and identified issues.
  • Supports internal and external audits of coding and medical record reviews, focusing on government payers.
  • Ensures staff awareness of the compliance hotline and manages compliance incidents and complaints.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of healthcare legal requirements and recommends policy revisions as needed.
  • Develops and facilitates education programs addressing compliance issues or new regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors implementation and sustainability of corrective actions for identified noncompliance areas.
  • Supports risk assessment activities and analyzes data related to key risk areas.
  • Collaborates with the Privacy Officer to ensure compliance with privacy program requirements.
