SUMMARY: The Assistant Director of Residential Supports is responsible for guaranteeing that each residential site provides quality direct care services to each participant, by supporting all levels of staff in the residential living program. The Assistant Director assists in planning, organizing and directing activities for a team of staff to assist adults with developmental disabilities in developing living skills, which promote growth and independence, while overseeing the daily operations of the program and its residential sites in accordance all licensing and regulatory compliance. The Assistant Director must embrace the agency’s vision, mission, and core values while leading in a positive work culture. They must demonstrate effective communication skills, flexibility to changing program needs, and display professionalism when engaging with staff, participants, and families. The Assistant Director of Residential Supports must have genuine interest in the welfare of participants and their families.
