Triangle Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an Assistant Director of Assessment. This full-time role involves directing and performing the screening of potential patients for admission into programs and initiating the integrated assessment process. The Assistant Director will assist administration, physicians, and clinical staff in assessing pending admissions to determine the appropriate level of care, using approved admission criteria to recommend the least restrictive treatment level. Key responsibilities include functioning as a liaison between physicians and families, coordinating with transportation services and other mental health facilities for admission procedures, and ensuring accurate referral of vital patient assessment information to attending physicians. The role also requires communication with external reviewers and referral sources, conducting necessary external reviews while adhering to HIPAA guidelines, and notifying third-party payors about decisions regarding transitions between care levels. Additionally, the Assistant Director will prepare morning meeting reports, maintain strong relationships with current referral sources, and be responsible for assessing, coaching, and developing team skills, holding the team accountable to high standards. Knowledge of CMS, JCAHO, EMTLA, and State regulations and standards of performance is essential, with regular audits to ensure compliance.
