About The Position

Assistant Dietary Manager Join the Trinity Oaks Health &Rehab Dining Services Team! Are you passionate about food service and ready to take the next step in your career? Trinity Oaks is seeking a dedicated, full-time Assistant Dietary Manager to join our team! Position Overview As the Assistant Dietary Manager, you will help oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and support the Director in providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents. You will also serve as a leader and resource to our dining services teammates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a range of kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Familiarity with local health regulations and state laws regarding food preparation.
  • Availability to work mornings, evenings, and at least every other weekend is required.
  • Flexible schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • D.M.A. certification preferred but not required.
  • Previous supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing kitchen operations and maintaining regulatory standards.
  • Visit residents to understand their food preferences and regularly review dining services.
  • Oversee diet changes and new orders, communicating with residents and families to ensure all dietary requirements align with physician instructions.
  • Support the Director with staff hiring, training, coaching, supervision, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained.
  • Coordinate dietary services with other departments and consult with the Dietician as needed.
  • Represent dining services on institutional committees as assigned.
  • May participate in clinical documentation, nutritional care planning, and resident progress notes if trained/assigned.
  • Engage in continuing education and assist in staff training initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support smooth facility operations.
