About The Position

The Assistant Deputy Chief Investigator (ADCI) for the Fugitive Investigations Division (FID) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of FID staff in New York State. This role involves supervising investigations related to fugitive apprehensions, ensuring compliance with policies and laws, and coordinating with external law enforcement agencies. The ADCI is a leadership position that requires strong organizational and writing skills, as well as the ability to respond to incidents promptly.

Requirements

• At least six years of investigative experience.
• At least two years of leadership, management, and supervisory experience.
• Prior experience investigating fugitives and executing warrants is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to adapt to changing environments.
• Strong organizational and writing skills.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and high levels of personal integrity and ethics.
• State-of-the-art technical skills for thorough investigations.
• Appropriate licensure and certifications, including peace officer qualifications.
