The Assistant Dean ASN has the responsibility for the overall coordination of the ASN program including the education and supervision of students in the online and campus-based classroom and clinical practice settings. Responsibilities will also include design, coordination and evaluation of curriculum. Under the direction of the Dean, the Assistant Dean will actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Manages the assigned associate degree program including the selection process for students, faculty and adjuncts, overseeing accreditation and other quality review activities. Representation of the programs at the departmental and institutional level, providing mentorship and leadership to students and faculty. Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in courses, participates in student advising and mentoring, and engages in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship, and research. Reviews and assists with revisions for program policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends appropriate community agency learning sites for clinical learning experiences. The Assistant Dean will provide leadership and management within the designated program under the direction of the Dean. Will work with department of nursing leadership, faculty and university support services to advance and sustain the quality of education.
