About The Position

Heartworks is looking for Assistant Early Educators to join our Essex Junction Education center! Located near Waterfront Park in the heart of Burlington, our beautiful school offers a unique and enriching environment to develop your career in early education. Requirements

• Successful completion of the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals’ course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate.
• At least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand, move, run, and play throughout the day.
• Lift up to 30 pounds multiple times daily.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all VT Public Health and Child Care Regulations.
• Pass the state-required background check.
• Serve as a mandated reporter, on and off campus.
• Ensure classroom environments meet NAEYC’s Anti-Bias Early Education standards.
