Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• 1 year of child care experience (Preferred).
• Ability to relocate to Naperville, IL 60563 before starting work (Required).

Responsibilities

• Implements Kiddie Academy's Life Essential curriculum.
• Implements classroom lesson plans, program, and schedule.
• Adheres to Kiddie Academy's policy regarding documenting and implementing daily activities.
• Assists and supervises children during all activities.
• Counsels children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise.
• Develops plans and prepares instructional aids and materials for classroom activities.
• Ensures the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the classroom are maintained according to NAEYC guidelines.
• Assists children with meal times and clean-up.
• Assists with all academy and classroom paperwork, including daily notes, accident reports, and attendance reports.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested.
• Assists with preparation and implementation of classroom lesson plans, programs, and schedule.
• Ensures all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and used properly.
• Attends workshops, conferences, and in-service training.
• Reports any problems to the teacher-in-charge or the director.
• Reports to the director when unable to attend work.
• Accepts temporary work assignments in the absence of the classroom teacher.
• Performs other similar or related duties as necessary.
