About The Position

Great opportunity for those interested in horticulture, landscaping, and environmental science. Responsibilities include: Assisting the Senior Horticulturist in maintaining the plant collection and database (descriptions, inventory, tags, photos) Providing educational program development for youth and adults: tours, curriculum, etc. Supporting the Digital Content Coordinator in creating educational content for social media Assisting the Outreach Coordinator with educational programing for garden events Internship: Job can be used as an internship based upon college/university approval.

Requirements

• Two years of college-level classes in horticulture, environmental science, education, or an equivalent degree preferred.
• Must have a general knowledge of horticulture, botanical nomenclature, and plant curation.
• Must be comfortable interacting with the public
• Organized
• Detail-oriented
• Be willing to learn

Nice To Haves

• Understanding the basics of photography and videography is preferred.
