Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed attorney in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (law firm or in-house).
  • Strong understanding of contract law and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience reviewing or drafting commercial agreements preferred.
  • Familiarity with LTL shipping, logistics, transportation, or B2B services preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and revise commercial contracts, including customer, vendor, and service agreements.
  • Identify and communicate legal and business risks, providing practical recommendations.
  • Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, and processes for consistency and efficiency.
  • Support internal stakeholders on compliance, corporate governance, and policy matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries or memoranda as needed.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on specialized matters.
  • Assist the General Counsel with special projects and legal department organization.
