About The Position

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Coordinator, Broadcast Productions - Boca Raton, FL. The Assistant Coordinator, Broadcast Productions supports the planning and execution of live broadcasts for FAU. This role involves managing technical aspects of game-day production, coordinating staff, and collaborating with vendors to deliver high-quality broadcasts and videoboard show.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.
  • Implement visual and acoustic solutions quickly, especially as timing is important in live video streaming and broadcasting required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations and strategic planning of all broadcasting functions for Florida Atlantic Athletics events.
  • Proven ability to produce quality and consistent live broadcasts, while adhering to FAU brand guidelines and ESPN and conference production standards.
  • Oversee all technical aspects of live game production, including EIC, camera operation, replay systems, graphics, and audio engineering.
  • Collaboration with third-party vendors to deliver FAU Athletics productions to ESPN.
  • Working knowledge of Ross switchers, Blackmagic switchers, and NewTek 3Play.
  • Assist with scheduling part-time staff and interns for broadcasting and videoboard staffing at events.
  • Assist with training and development of student staff.
  • Ability to step into various broadcast roles during live FAU Athletics productions as needed.
  • Assisting with non-FAU Athletics events when streaming and/or videoboard services are needed.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of existing technology and engineering in a control room.
  • Stay current with broadcast trends nationwide.
  • Assist in identifying, recruiting, and scheduling talent for each broadcast.
  • Assist with maintenance and proper care of FAU’s broadcast production infrastructure.
  • Ability to take initiative and be creative in enhancing the FAU brand through live broadcasts and videoboard shows.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
