About The Position

Job Overview: The Assistant Cooperage Manager is responsible for managing the barrel production function at the plant, primarily supporting 2nd shift operations in tandem with Cooperage Manager. Duties include coordinating and directing the manufacturing operators to achieve scheduled production, monitor and update safety and quality standards, maintain government regulations relating to production, assign & train personnel for production, and problem solve & recommend improvements as necessary. Coordinate shipments with Logistics team and customer warehouse managers.

• 2 years supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive safety program developed and led by team members and managers to include safety training initiatives, written safety programs and rules tailored to the work of individual departments and designed to at least meet Federal, State and provincial safety requirements.
